I really like the Clazzio seat covers, but they do not come with a white insert...only ivory. I am considering getting the base black set ($270) and having an upholster change the inserts to white carbon fiber upholstery. Anyone have good experience with a shop that could do this? Or would it be more cost effective to just have someone make the covers from scratch? I am going to cover the fabric on my doors with the same white carbon fiber.
Thanks!
kate

I am having the same issue, I want mine to have red carbon fiber inserts...

Best quote I found so far for someone to make it from scratch is $950
But like you said, $270 is a much better price...

So, i found a guy in Foxboro who will take the Clazzio seats and put in the white carbon fiber inserts...he asks me (jokingly): Why are you spending $40k on a car that only cost $10k? I say: Yes, I have a problem...I love my car.
Ted - will let you know what it will cost. He charges around $800 to re-upholster the seats the seats (as opposed to the cover I am doing). I am going to have him recover the doors too if his price is good.

The xD is $349 for the PVC and about a hundred more for leather.

OK - just saw the upholster dude....would be $400 for him to replace the inserts with white...too rich for my blood after spending $270 for covers and $75 for the white carbon fiber.

I was thinking of keeping my seats but changing the seat inserts to blue.

Intylekt: If you find someone who can do that, at a reasonable price, let me know. I still want my inserts to be white carbon fiber.
