 Re: Wheels lip polish question
Look for a metal polishing or metal finishing company in your area. I had to get a wheel done 2x when I scratched it parking. and when my stainless steel mirror hood panel fell partially off + got scratched. I can't remember the name of my guy in Newark, NJ. But, it was about $25.00 for a wheel, which I had to take off the car. If the wheel that needs to be polished is chromed, you may have a problem when trying to get out a scratch. It's possible they may buff off some of the chrome coating, thus leaving a 2 toned metal appearance in that spot

 Re: Wheels lip polish question
I dont' recall the company name of the guy who did my work. I may drive to Newark this week to find the shop. But not sure which side street. I'll need to drive around the hood + hope I remember cause, I need my stainless engine valve cover buffed. But, try to do a google search for Brooklyn or your area, you may find someone closer.

 Re: Wheels lip polish question
Hey Ant, you want to laugh + cry? Laughing part...I found another place in Newark that does metal polishing/Chroming. I spoke to the boss yesterday. He told me to polish my stained stainless engine valve cover would be $25. + to come in any time today since I was off from work. I went about 2pm. I walked into their warehouse/work area + asked for the boss by name. One worker told me he was in the back. I go to the polishing area + ask for the boss. Another employee said, the boss is not here. I told him, I spoke to his boss, who told me to bring the part to be polished today. The worker said, Ok since you spoke to my Boss, I will polish it now. I waited about about 20 minutes, got the part back from him, without him asking me who I was or for money, so I left. LMFAO They did a good job, which was not easy. Cause my part had like some kind of watermark looking stains on it, which dulled the finish. WTF Does'nt stainless steel mean stainless LOL Crying part.....I could'nt find the other polishing company on the internet nor bothered to try to drive + find/remember where the other place was. The boss at the free polishing shop LOL couldn't give a phone quote for your wheel. They all usually need to see the item to see how much time it would take to correct YOUR problem. Your wheel would be more costly up to-$40 since they may need to buff the whole wheel to make it uniform in its shine + more work. I would think that all metal polishing places do good work or they would be not be in business. It'S not like an auto repair shop.
