My work (TJX) just donated $100K to the red cross this morning to help out.. I just also signed away $10 a week for a month (pretax) to them via work also.

I was reading a news report at lunch and they were saying they are in desperate need of food and water... everything was so devistated that they don't even have the bare essentials to sustain life at the moment, even the rescuers are asking for food and water because of the lack of neccesities.

Just me personally, but i dont donate to the American Red Cross. They are nothing but a bunch of crooks and thieves. Dont believe me ... Google Red Cross embezzlement or Red Cross stealing donations and follow the links.

After they got caught buying new computers, cells phones and the board memebers all getting bonuses after 9-11 ... yeah, they dont get my money any more. [-X

FYI for any who may be interested...

Hi,
Below is a copy of the invite to our photography exhibition and fundraiser benefiting victims of the earthquake in Haiti. The event will take place on Saturday, May 8th from 8pm-11pm at the Sacred Gallery in Soho. Photo exhibition will show reportage from Haiti by Michael Hicks (myself), Jonathan Auch, and Misha Tulek. Also featuring select works by James Nachtwey, Lynsey Addario, and Stephen Katz. Live music, generous raffle, food, and drink. Prints will be up for auction with all proceeds being donated to Longchamp Charities and Partners in Health. Both NGO's are actively working in the devastated areas of Haiti.

I hope to see you there.
best
Michael Hicks
